Sheetrock First Coat

USG's Sheetrock First Coat is a white, flat, latex base coat designed to minimize decorating problems such as photographing and joint banding, which are caused by differences in porosities and surface textures of gypsum panel face paper and finished joint compound. Joints, fasteners and other areas treated with the compound often remain visible even after the surface has been painted. Sheetrock First Coat equalizes both the surface absorption and texture differences between drywall face paper and finished joint compound.
