ShingleVent II from Air Vent Inc is a filtered shingle-over ridge vent that provides 18 sq. in. of net free ventilation area per lineal foot. The key to ShingleVent's superior performance is the external baffle system that deflects wind up and over the ridge, creating low pressure above the vent openings on both sides of the vent that literally lifts or pulls air evenly out of the attic. Available in black, brown, gray and charcoal to blend with shingle colors, ShingleVent rises only 7/8 inch off the rooftop for a streamlined appearance
