CMI Extira Extira composite panels deliver performance in a wide range of nonstructural paint-grade exterior applications. Extira is treated during the manufacturing process with zinc borate for moisture, rot and termite resistance. Compared to wood, MDF and other composite materials, Extira panels provide greater dimensional stability and better long-term performance. Without the knots or cracks commonly found in wood, Extira offers 100 percent product yield and is easy to cut, machine, rout and paint. Extira is used to manufacture carriage-style garage doors, door and window parts, pilasters, shutters, column wraps, fluting, rosettes, brick mould and a host of other specialty and decorative applications.
