Pilkington's Profilit Profiled Glass Architecture system is a structural glazing system consisting of self-supporting glass channels when combined with an extruded metal perimeter frame. The U-shaped glass configuration provides strength within each glass channel that guards against lateral loading. Profilit transmits a high level of daylight, which reduces the need for artificial lighting and is available in different glazing options, including single- or double-glazed, low-emissivity (low-E) coating; and wire glass for safety consideration.
